Summer Cooking at Camont, day by day, is what we do to celebrate our favorite month of the year! Easy French pastry cooking classes, French vegetable cooking from soups to main courses from my garden and markets, working with French cuts of meat and charcuterie, a summer cassoulet, even some early summer preserving for the pickle happy and brining crowd.
Classes are 9:00- 3:00, held in our spacious professional teaching kitchen, and include a late lunch, a market tour of Wednesday, and a supermarket shopping spree on Fridays. Learn to shop and cook like a French housewife (or house husband) this week while enjoying the beautiful Summer weather, the longest day of the year, and the festive Fête de la Musique celebrated all over France.
Classes include: how to choose seasonal local produce; menu planning and preparation; appetizers, a simple soup or starter, main course with meat/fish with vegetables, and a pastry dessert. Classes limited to small groups, individuals and friends. Day class rate includes: morning snack, lunch with wine, and a souvenir Cassoulet cookbook to take home. The immersive 6-hour course including lunch and wine is 295€ per day.
