Food photography in France tells a timeless yet modern story-amazing food, classic stone and old linen surroundings, and sparkling morning light. Working alongside award winning photographer Tim Clinch is an life-enhancing experience. For twenty years I have cooked and created, styled and devoured the good food that Tim has shot and made even more beautiful for magazine articles, books, and websites. Together, we invite you to spend 5 days working with us learning to create your own food stories under Tim’s expert tutelage with a camera and my guiding hands in the kitchen and at the table.

From Camont’s farmhouse kitchens, gardens, terraces, and historic stones, we work as we live- freely and with gusto, laughter, and taste for the passion we share. Shooting schedules are woven through the colorful village markets, a sunrise jaunt across the Gascon hills, and in depth visit to behind the scenes of a french farmer’s market. Produce is at it’s peak all season and we cook and eat for supper what we style and shoot early in the day. The lovely autumn light allow us ample time to cook and shoot in early morning light and explore the technical side of editing and processing in the the afternoon. Evenings are for leisurely meals, shared or on your own, and free time to explore the charming surroundings and neighboring villages.


You’ll learn the essence of food photography with Tim. Learn the best ‘tricks of the trade’ for beautiful styling by watching demos, shooting together and hands on practice. Tim explains, “We deal with the importance of post-processing and how to use Lightroom’s most useful features. Most important of all, we explore the often neglected subject of editing. Which pictures will add impact to your website? Which pictures will weaken it? Learning how to use your photography for the most impact is as important as which lens you use.”

Use your Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica, Canon or iPhone- it’s your eye that makes the photograph great. One afternoon, alongside editing and reviewing your photos, there will be a chance for some ‘one to one’ time with Tim to talk through any specific queries you may have about your work. Like all the workshops Tim runs, these are a ‘hands-on’ experience. We firmly believe that showing someone how to achieve something is a lot more effective than telling them. To this end, Tim shoots and works alongside you the whole time.

Sept 21-26 2017 Food Photography Workshop with Tim Clinch

Five-day Workshop Course begins on Sept 21 and wraps up on Sept 26, 2017. Five days of food styling and photography workshops; five days of great French food and wine including 1-Star Michelin lunch with wine; local transportation for market excursions. Pickup from train station or airport in Agen can be arranged. Space limited to 8 participants. Sept 21-26 2017 2900€ per person. Does not include accommodation or evening meals.
